Sea - Illustration Friday

Sometimes, art just doesn't need to make sense. Even it it means a golden fish is being trained to swim by his adopted daddy, the whale. But, you can make whatever story you want up about this scenario! Remember, at times art can be whatever you want it to be.

Thank you all for your comments!

It means a lot because I am just getting back into illustrating for fun.

After teaching for so long, creating for clients, and focusing on more page layout jobs than creative jobs, I somehow I got out of designing art for "me." I can't remember the last time I picked up my pastels! ARGH!! I decided it was time to get back to my true love (next to my husband, that is). I'm a bit rusty, but nonetheless, I'm pleased.

As far as how I drew this. I first did a rough sketch, then I drew it in Illustrator, and then imported it into Photoshop for the background and texture. For the clouds in the background, I created several different brushes.

Thank you again!
