Glamour - Illustration Friday

When my daughter was a little girl, she would play dress-up in her Sunday best and pretend she was a movie star. She would don hats we got from resale shops and Goodwill, and wear my high heels while strutting through the house. She would look in the mirror and do poses while making all sorts of funny faces. This memory was my inspiration for this week's Illustration Friday.

That's a good memory for me, too....my sister and I definitely got some mileage out of my mom's closet and makeup drawer. Very cute and sweet!

Very cute! She has that look of pure fun on her face:> This reminds me of the fun I used to have playing dress -up.. Great colors, and I love the stars in the background.

Very sweet. I like the repetitiveness of the circles in the flower, hand, nose, collar, eyes and swirls. Her little smile is precious.

Great! The lines are so clean, and the colors and blends are just right. I like your frame treatment, too. Cool.

She is such a darling! I love how children seem to understand that being glamorous is a sort of game - and that they are unafraid of dressing up and posing and pouting.
Looking at your illo makes me happy!

she's got such a cute face, and i love the curlies in her hair.

I really like the effect here. It's almost an edible glazed look. And the colours are so rich.

a great illo!
